Invitation to celebrate the rights of the Cam on June 21st from 4.30-9.30

We are rededicating the rights of the river Cam and its tributaries, on Jesus Green on Midsummer's Eve, at 6pm. From 4.30 until 9.30pm there will be wonderful singers, musicians, campaigners speaking, art activities for all ages, and story telling. The programme will open with drumming and be followed by some local campaigners telling us about their successes, and campaigners still fighting at Honey Hill, the Wensum Link in Norwich, and the Gaywood River in West Norfolk. The Lefty Men and Honey Hill Choirs will perform and Lila Shaw-Mitchell will be singing Rabindranath Tagore poems arranged in Gaelic. After the Declaration at 6pm,  there will be music from Kelly and Woolley, Mulberry Klezmer, 4Tunes Friends, Ki Luna & Mousey and the Frida-Violetta Band, closing the evening; singing from ReSound, Pomegranate Multinational Choir and Cambridge Voices of Anatolia. A couple of talks about river campaigning in Ecuador and Serbia will be interspersed.

Bring your friends, family ... and a picnic.
